Southern Indiana has been awarded $45 million in funding for 21 projects through the second round of the Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative (READI) by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. Of this, a total of $12.2 million will be distributed to Clark County, $8.6 million to Floyd County, $8.5 million to Jefferson County, $5.3 million to Scott County, and $7.9 million to Washington County. Among the projects, the Jeffboat redevelopment in Jeffersonville received the highest allocation of $6.5 million, aiming to redevelop a 100-acre site on Jeffersonville’s riverfront which will include multifamily housing and commercial spaces.
