How has the Consumer Price Index changed in big cities in the last 12 months? In this chart, we compare the August 2020 CPI value to the August 2021 CPI. The dotted line is the U.S. average for all urban consumer. The chart shows that inflation has ticket up slightly in the last 12 months, but most large MSAs sit around the U.S. average.
