Data is from the monthly State Employment and Unemployment statistics, released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on March 13, 2023.

National unemployment rate is down 1.75 percent year-over-year in January 2023, according to new data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

More than half of the 50 states have experienced an increase or no change in unemployment rate for the year, with Nebraska having the highest annual hike. On the other hand, New Jersey has the lowest drop in unemployment.
